Their portability, compares favorably with other solid, tangible investments such as fine art or real estate. Their rarity also makes diamonds in general and fancy coloured diamonds in particular an increasingly popular reserve.

All diamonds sourced by Gemstoneworld are certified as having a clarity of Flawless, Internally Flawless, VVS1, VVS2, VS1 and VS2. Our diamonds are fully certified by one of two leading bodies and have been taken through the Kimberley Process to ensure that they are conflict free and in accordance with United Nations' resolutions.

Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) is the process designed to certify the origin of rough diamonds from sources which are free of conflict funded by diamond production. KPCS was introduced by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 55/56 following recommendations in the Fowler Report. The process was established in 2003 to prevent diamond sales from financing rebellious movements. The certification scheme aims at preventing "blood diamonds" from entering the mainstream rough diamond market. It was set up to assure consumers that by purchasing diamonds they were not financing war and human rights abuses.
